On Instruction In The Faith written by Pope Clement XIII. This letter is about the necessity of preserving good seed of Catholic teaching, it is about the dangers of slack clergy. If the men are asleep the enemy of the human race will sow weeds among the cockle and errors will spread. If then the clergy is not aware of the thoughts to plot against the Faith we will have sects like the NO and we will have teachings like that of Vatican 2 and we can not just turn our backs against them but they must be condemned, they must be uprooted before it is to late.
Peculiar ideas should not be presented to the faithful who are often uneducated. But only them that has the mark of truth given by the Church. This can be done by catechisms and in particular the one issued from St. Pius V after the council of Trent. It is the duty of the clergy to use this catechism to teach the Truth of the Church and uproot error.
Faitful should not know more than is necessary, they should know with moderation. But it is important that they now enough to be able to see and avoid poison to the soul such as the V2.

On unity among Christians written in 1758.
This encyclical is directed to the clergy of the Church. It is about their responsibility for the souls that are under them. It is their responsibility that everybody seeks peace, searches for the elements of peace. Those who goes by the name of Catholics can be perfect in the same sense, in the same oppinion and saying the same thing together, knowing the same thing and understanding it. They can not have concord with the head if the are in disagreement with the members.
Our prayers should be addressed more ardently to God, it is through this prayer that we obtain from the Lord, as a decisive intermediary of the Church's faithful, the faith, hope, and love of all-virtues which are necessary for each and every one of us and for all the faithful in the world.
Cast off pride, in which all harmful desires are contained. The world is passing away, as well as what it craves for; however, he who keeps the will of God will endure forever.

Pope Pius VIII - Traditi Humilitati

The first encyclical of Pope Pius VIII was written in 1829 and was about his program for his pontificate. The duty of his office is not only to feed, rule, and direct the lambs, namely the Christian people, but also the sheep, that is the clergy.
The notion that all or many different religions is the portal so salvation is certainly a monstrous impiety which assigns the same praise and the mark of the just and upright man to truth and to error, to virtue and to vice, to goodness and to turpitude. Indeed this deadly idea concerning the lack of difference among religions is refuted even by the light of natural reason. Against these experienced sophists the people must be taught that the profession of the Catholic faith is uniquely true, as the apostle proclaims: one Lord, one faith, one baptism.
Watch the seminaries more diligently. The fathers of Trent made you responsible for their administration.

On Catechesis. Given at Castelgandolfo on the 26th of June 1754.
There was a need to appoint special ministers to instruct those sent to certain basilicas to perform the required servile works to obtain the removal of an impediment to marriage. But it was soon found that these people very often was ignorant of the most basic and necessary mysteries of the faith.
Use the example of St. Charles Borromeo and do not despair in teaching the fundamentals of our holy religion to these people.

Restoration of all things in Christ.

This beautifully written piece of Catholic history is the first Encyclical of Pope Pius X. It was written on October 4 1903 and some of the topics that is touched upon is the following:

No one can be saved without knowledge of Christ.
The way to know God is the Church, that is why Christ founded it.
The purpose and aim of the pontificate is to bring about the destruction of the wickedness of his time, the substitution of man for God and restore the ancient and most holy laws of the Gospels, with the sole aim that Christ may be formed in all.
The importance of guiding the seminarians right.
The principal way to restore the kingdom of God in their souls is religious instruction. There are many who abhor the Church more from ignorance than from badness of mind.

On the spirituall advantages of fasting. The following quote is a very good summary of both this document and the Christian life: "You will begin most appropriately, and with hope of the greatest profit, to recall men to the observance of the holy law of fasting, if you teach the people this: penance for the Christian man is not satisfied by withdrawing from sin, by detesting a past life badly lived, or by the sacramental confession of these same sins. Rather, penance also demands that we satisfy divine justice with fasting, almsgiving, prayer, and other works of the spiritual life."

Pope Boniface VIII - Unam Sanctam

"Urged by faith, we are obliged to believe and to maintain that the Church is one, holy, catholic, and also apostolic. We believe in her firmly and we confess with simplicity that outside of her there is neither salvation nor the remission of sins, as the Spouse in the Canticles [Sgs 6:8] proclaims: 'One is my dove, my perfect one. She is the only one, the chosen of her who bore her,' and she represents one sole mystical body whose Head is Christ and the head of Christ is God [1 Cor 11:3]. In her then is one Lord, one faith, one baptism [Eph 4:5]. There had been at the time of the deluge only one ark of Noah, prefiguring the one Church, which ark, having been finished to a single cubit, had only one pilot and guide, i.e., Noah, and we read that, outside of this ark, all that subsisted on the earth was destroyed."
A most powerful wittness of Holy Mother Church against the modern salvationheresy.
